Another myth that circulates about timeshare is that it must be boring to return to the same place every year. There are two flawed premises in that myth. Firstly, timeshare does not limit you to the same resort every year but rather offers you the guaranteed option to use your property every year. If you choose, you may visit a different place every time you vacation by exchanging your property for like for like accommodations around the world. Secondly, the myth that it is boring to return to the same place is subjective. Many people buy a fixed week timeshare precisely for that reason, so that they can build up a community of friends and enjoy their timeshare like a second home. Familiarity is a bonus for many people.
Another myth that discourages people from buying timeshare is that they will not use their property and therefore it will be a waste of money. Practice shows that owners do take advantage of their timeshare properties and in fact, vacation ownership encourages people to take regular vacations, meaning quality time for loved ones and families. If you cannot use your timeshare for any reason, there is alway the option of lending it to friends and family and even renting.
Finally, some people claim that they are simply not the timeshare “type.” This is an interesting myth as timeshare can suit anyone of any age who likes to take regular vacations. Timeshare is as flexible as you want it to be, meaning that all you need is the vision to be a timeshare owner.
